Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 a“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where bmoth and rust
Or worm; also verse 20
destroy and where thieves dbreak in and steal,
20 ebut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 16:9

9And I tell you, fmake friends for yourselves by means of gunrighteous wealth,
Greek mammon, a Semitic word for money or possessions; also verse 11; rendered money in verse 13
so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.


1 Timothy 6:17-19

17As for the rich in ithis present age, charge them jnot to be haughty, nor kto set their hopes on lthe uncertainty of riches, but on God, mwho richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18They are to do good, nto be rich in good works, to be generous and oready to share, 19thus pstoring up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may qtake hold of rthat which is truly life.
